NEW RULE IN WLO
NEW RULE IN WLO
New rules: Bots, harassers and wrong-doers - What can I do?
In response to player concerns over the last few days, the Moderation team has decided to modify the existing Defamation Rule. From this point, players will be allowed to accuse other players of wrongdoing. Furthermore, discussions on the accusations will be allowed to take place. There are exceptions, which will be listed below.
1) Accusations cannot be made without adequate proof. The Moderation Team will judge what adequate proof is. If the section moderator deems the evidence provided as inadequate, that thread will be removed. This applies to any sort of accusation (Bot Report, Hack/Scam Report, etc).
1A) For Bot Reports, we strongly recommend you first submit evidence to IGG via the IGG services page before posting it on the forums.
2) This one is taken from Arc. "What also must be considered is if the author of the thread can control the discussion. If a mod deems that it is a thread topic that can not be handled by the author of the thread after trouble has already ensued, then the thread has to be closed." One or two troublemakers in an otherwise okay discussion will be removed without any action taken upon the thread itself. Otherwise, this is pretty straightforward. While debating is allowed, Keep things as civil as possible. Refrain from posting meaningless insults. Again, section moderators will be the judge here.
2A) In order to see that future discussions go smoothly, please follow a few simple tips.
*When making claims, back it up with evidence.
*Connect your claims through explanations and analysis.
*Use proper english and decent grammar so your thoughts can be followed. For those who have poor english...all the more important to strengthen your arguments in other ways.
*Do not generalize about groups. Do not target groups unless that is your intention and evidence can be provided.
*Please keep your tone as civil as possible. It is understandable that sometimes in an argument, things may heat up. Just remember if things get too heated, the topic will be closed.
*Do not repeat the same things over and over again.
*Try to consider the opposing view(s).
*No inappropriate or masked language.
4) Finally, any player that has been caught botting can be discussed under the terms mentioned in the above rule. They have broken the ToS nullifing their agreement as members. Therefore, they are not eligibly protected by the forum rules. However, should any discussion involving these players get out of hand, the thread will be closed. Again, this will be determined by the section moderator. Remember, while the rule breakers are no longer protected by forum rules, you others are. Part of the rules include keeping things calm. We can understand using a harsh tone in your posts, but again, as stated above, pointless insults and abuse will not be tolerated.
